Nuon Medical Devices has nearly two decades of experience in the medical technology sector and has now ventured into the cosmetics industry to offer up this expertise.
At Luxe Pack, Nuon was showcasing a range of different packaging solutions with in-built at-home-use beauty devices that offer treatments such as phototherapy, vibration massage, heating-cooling, microcurrents and even electrolysis.
For example, on display was a jar for a facial skin care cream with a built-in red-light device for anti-ageing purposes, a ‘digital mirror’ to accompany sun care products to show whether the product has been effectively applied to give full UV protection, and an anti-acne treatment applicator with built-in blue light.
In 2020, Procos created the eco-responsible, cardboard-based Yoga Box, which replaced a magnetic closure with a paper tab.
The company has now updated this innovation and created Sunshine, which has an optimised mono-material closure system for smoother and easier handling and a more elegant-looking design.
The closure system is invisible from the outside and consists of a notch on the front wall inside the box, combined with a bevel button that fits onto it. It also features a tray to hold the products, which is secured by two Tencel ribbons.
According to CCO at Procos, Stéphanie Havard, it was very difficult to create a 'magnet effect' closure without a magnet.
“Our teams had to devise an innovative cardboard attachment system that is effective, durable, intuitive, and sensory,” she said.
To meet the needs of Gen Z fragrance consumers, turnkey company Superga Beauty has created its new Layering Perfume collection in collaboration with Cosmogen for the packaging and GBC for the formulation.
The new collection features brushes and roll-ons that offer brands sensory oil perfume in a mobile tube (designed by Cosmogen), which is compatible with a crystal pearl or flexible brush.
CEO Leslie Bréau Meniger said this packaging meets various key requirements for Gen Z consumers, as it’s ideal for layering, touch-ups and travel, as the opening mechanism (the patented “open-close” rotating head) guarantees no risk of leaks. Plus, the packaging is also fully recyclable.
Superga Beauty has also launched a “Layering Perfume” stick, which offers a dual innovation in its formulation and packaging.
Cosmogen designed the bespoke container and applicator, made from a single material (PP or PCR) that is refillable, recyclable and water tight.
This new range uses Polypropylene (PP) instead of POM materials and features a metal-free pathway to “safeguard olfactive integrity”.
The design is compatible with most standard neck finishes and is interchangeable with most other screw-on fixations.
The collection is available in screw-on, crimp-on or seal-tight versions, with three inserts: Classic offers an efficient gentle gesture with precision for everyday use; Precious, which produces a fine and progressive diffusion that lasts three times longer than a classic spray; HDS, which has a wide-angle spray that offers a light and fine spray.
This was created to improve the user experience of high-precision skin care packaging.
Aptar Beauty’s VP of marketing and innovation, Xavier Joseph, explained that the company had conducted user research into the needs of consumers when using a skin care product that has a dropper, and based the design around these findings.
Based on this feedback, the NeoDropper enhances formula protection and dosage precision, while its shorter applicator avoids direct contact with the formula, protecting it from external contamination. It also provides better control while dispensing and the sealed bottle prevents the formula from spilling, even if the bottle is upside down.
When attached to a glass bottle, the dropper is also compatible with glass recycling streams.

The applicator is available in five shapes and textures to target different areas of the face and the neck. It offers an immediate cooling effect that helps to depuff, tone and firm skin.
Cosmogen previously launched Needle Tube: a very thin metal applicator inspired by cosmetics surgery that gives ultra-precise application for filling wrinkles or targeting spots.
This concept has now been extended to a dropper, which allows reduced dosage of formula.
A new 15ml or 30ml glass bottle that features an airless refill system that uses pouch technology.
According to Lumson, it combines the advantages of a refill system with the benefits of an airless glass design featuring a pouch.
The glass bottle was crafted using pressé technology for a premium design and there are various in-house customisation options, from the inner and outer glass to the refill, pump, and cap, to give a fully tailored solution.
New 50ml, 30ml and 15ml luxury and refillable glass jars for a range of different cosmetics formulations. The consumercan reuse the glass jar and its lid many times by replacing the inner PP cup. The latter can be closed with an aluminium seal to give a hermetic closure and keep the formula fresh.
ReVive 1.4cc is an all-plastic refill system using the company’s "patented LifeCycle Technology". It's the latest update in a line of similar dispensers that were introduced in 2022 and is designed to give an enhanced focus on sustainability and performance.
According to Silgan, the pumps have the ability to pass 10,000 cycles without failure, are adaptable to refill formats, and guaranteed to have a long lifetime.
Each dispenser is certified by both the Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR) and RecyClass to ensure compatibility with the latest recycling processes and "holds e-commerce certifications to meet the changing requirements of online retail."
Polaris is a mono-material PP and refillable jar with the cap attached to the base with an invisible hinge, which solves any cap issues and provides full access to the formula. Plus, it’s also refillable.
“In order to further drive the adoption of refillable solutions, our role is to make them really simple - in other words: intuitive.” explained Aline Roland, who is marketing director at Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance.
“With our newest jar concept “Polaris”, we have taken another step forward by combining a unique and sophisticated design with a significant reduced environmental impact”.
With a focus on lowering its environmental impact, Albéa Cosmetics & Fragrance has also just launched Pure Drop. The chic-looking dropper is made of 100% PP plastic, which is considered more biodegradable and sustainable.
Arena is a minimalist aesthetic PET jar that is easy and effortless to refill.
The 50ml jar has a PET outer wall, PP refill and a PP cap. The components are easily taken apart to facilitate recycling. The packaging also has a discreet indentation on the rim of the outer jar to allow easy removal of the inner.
“Refilling only works if it’s hassle-free and that’s exactly what Arena delivers,” said Karen Merchán who is category manager for skin care at Quadpack.
“With its clever notch along the edge, there’s no need to put your fingers inside the jar to pull it out. There is also no slipping, and you keep your fingers clean. It’s a simple yet highly functional feature that’s characteristic of Arena’s design.”
The refills are thermosealed for lowest material usage and the filler attaches a thermo or conduction seal during the filling process, without the need for a temporary ‘service’ cap, according to the company.
FaiveleyTech said it is now giving priority to offering more elegant eco-responsible materials (bio-sourced materials, recycled materials) that require less post-injection treatment and offer great potential for enhancement.

For Montblanc’s new fragrance collection, which launched in May 2024, metal packaging specialists g.pivaudran created an anodised shiny silver plate topped with black print to emulate to the brand’s flagship ‘Meisterstück pen’, which celebrated its 100-year anniversary this year.
